I was able to fly when mounting up on the landing pad. I was also able to run down the steps into the center and almost did a complete loop around town in the air before losing the mount and parachuting to the ground. Since it was mounted as a flying mount, once the game realizes I'm on the streets of Dalaran, I'm dismounted and cannot remount.

For example if you want to be a mini skeleton getting the miniaturizing buff can be kinda hard since the adds are small to get it. I easily can go through 10 or more elixirs just to stack skelly and mini buff.
