You do profit on basically any non-cannoned task even using turm or piety, hell on most tasks it speeds up the profit per hour assuming you have a decent prayer bonus But that doesn't mean it's a "good" way of making money, especially now with the price drops and from what I've seen obviously not confirmed or if it is cba to find out the drops are less common.
