What level should you be for Point Lookout? Can you bring companions to Point Lookout? Expect to find three hostile enemies here known as Wild Men -- outcasts from The Pitt's decrepit society -- but they shouldn't be anything you can't handle, as they are identical in nature to Raiders.

Be sure to explore the area the Wild Men were occupying. There is a couple of Packs of Cigarettes to find, as well as some Rad-X. And most importantly, perhaps, are some beds you can take a snooze in if you're in need of health, which you may or may not be at this point in your optional journey. Well-rested and supplied with anti-radiation medication, it's now time to cross the bridge to enter The Pitt proper. However, the crossing won't be a peaceful one.

As you cross, you'll no doubt notice four dangerous, dangerous things. The first, and perhaps least dangerous, are the smattering of bear traps strewn across the bridge. The second thing is the Vicious Dogs that will attack you as you reach the halfway point of the bridge. The third is the small contingent of Pitt Raiders sitting atop a perch on the far end of the bridge, along a horizontal support beam.

And the fourth and most deadly thing you'll notice on the bridge is, in fact, dozens and dozens of frag mines. These are easy enough to avoid, so long as you keep on moving at all times. However, the fact that these explosives litter the bridge mean they could give you a hard time if you aren't careful.

Of course, on the flipside, if you're skilled at disarming explosives, you could walk away from the bridge with dozens of Frag Mines in your inventory. Speaking of the Pitt Raiders atop the bridge, however, you can actually walk up to their location and storm them up-close and personal like, if you so desire.

Seek out the walkways on the side of the bridge -- in this case, you'll want to find the one on the right side if facing Pittsburgh itself. Then, use the sloping catwalks to ultimately reach the small bastion for Pitt Raiders above.

You can find lots of foodstuffs up here once they're all dead, as well as some 10mm Rounds and a 10mm Pistol. Most importantly, though, you'll find a bed that you can sleep in to heal yourself in case the trio of dogs, Raiders and explosives took their toll on you.

Once you're satiated with Pitt Raider blood, and once you've pillaged their supplies and slept off your wounds, you can then walk back down to ground level, finish crossing the bridge, and head forward as the road swings rightward. If the dead slave corpse on the ground at the turn of the road doesn't send you a clear signal, you're going to want to change out of your current outfit and put on the Tattered Slave Outfit you found back in the Capital Wasteland.

If, for some reason, you lost your previous set of slave clothing, you can get more off of the aforementioned deceased slave. While there are other ways to get into this location, including pretending you're a slaver or blasting your way inside, you'll find that the most effective way of going about your business is to pretend you're a slave.

So, that's what we'll do in this walkthrough, but keep in mind there are other options for you to take that aren't covered here. Feel free to explore those options on your own. With your slave clothes equipped, approach the front gate ahead and it will open automatically. A Slaver on the other side, a man named Mex, will approach you hereafter, strip you of all of your belongings, and tell you to get back into the downtown area, which you can do by heading through the door on your left, near the locked safe.

The good news is, you'll become automatically but covertly equipped with the weapon given to you earlier by Wernher, whether it be a gun or blade. Fallout 3 Wiki Guide. Last Edited: 27 May am.
